She goes to church on Sunday Morning
To cleanse her soul of Saturday night
She knows she could have listened
To all those warnings
All that prayin’ ain’t gonna save her life
Just like Jesus and John Lennon
A beautiful beginning
But it’s all gonna fall apart
Just like Marilyn and Joe
You better have somewhere to go
Or you’re off to a real bad start
Like The Rolling Stones and Brian Jones
Linda Lovelace and oral sex
Some things just weren’t meant to last.
Say goodbye with no regrets.
When your faith’s under performing
But your spirit’s shining bright
I know you’ve got intentions
But you’re so boring
Imagine all the people
You’ve got to get this right
Just like Jesus and John Lennon
A beautiful beginning
But it’s all gonna fall apart
Just like Marilyn and Joe
You better have somewhere to go
Or you’re off to a real bad start
Like The Rolling Stones and Brian Jones
Martin Luther and the Catholic Church
Some things just weren’t meant to last
But when the breakup comes it hurts
Just like Jesus and John Lennon
A beautiful beginning
But it’s all gonna fall apart
Just like Marilyn and Joe
You better have somewhere to go
Or you’re off to a real bad start
Like The Rolling Stones and Brian Jones
Linda Lovelace and oral sex
Some things just weren’t meant to last
Say goodbye with no regrets

I love this entire album. Every track is a winner. The album is well mixed. It sounds great on my computer's stereo sound system. It is almost as good as the sound quality of my vinyl record sound system. And Jesse's voice has never sounded more powerful and confident. Definitely a Five-Star album. dansp
